Purpose and Intention
The Inka Sun Staff Community (ISS) enthusiastically greets the dawning of a challenging and glorious human epoch. We join thousands of groups and tens of millions of similarly inspired people worldwide in an effort to attract, ground, focus, harmonize, and radiate the powerful energies becoming available here on our planet. We joyfully offer our particular cultural and spiritual note, rooted in ancient traditions brought to prominence by the Inka Elders of South America.
This approaching era has many names, and is known as the 5th Sun by the last of the Inka and the 5th World by the Hopi. The current transition period from the now waning 4th Sun to the new energy of the 5th Sun is proving to be a time of challenge, turmoil, and crisis for many people across the world. Significantly, this is also a time of unique opportunity. People from cultures across the planet know the crisis, feel the need, and sense the opportunity.
Some believe the catalyst for the changes will come in the form of a great being. Others are expecting a new energy or a grand shift in human consciousness. Whether labeled the 5th Sun or the Second Coming, the Messiah, the Maitreya Buddha, Boddhisattva, the Reappearance of the Christ, the Imam Mahdi, the New Age, the Age of Aquarius, the end of the Mayan calendar (2012 CE), or the 5th World, the time is here and the opportunity is now.
Our Roots and Our Work
The physical and affective centerpiece of the Inka Sun Staff Community's work is a modern descendent of a powerful ancient ceremonial staff that united Father Sun and Mother Earth. Inti Taita, "The Spirit of the Sun," is our local solar system's masculine expression of the Great Spirit, One Creator, or God. Pacha Mama, also known as "Spirit of the Earth," Sophia, Blessed Virgin, Black Madonna, and Gaia, is our planet's embodiment of the universal feminine. She joins Inti Taita in offering the prospect of a balanced and harmonious life for humanity and our relations here on planet Earth.
The form of the Inka Sun Staff and the central ceremony of the ISS Community is based on a legend describing the introduction of plants and animals to our planet and ancient lore's account of the founding of a civilization by the original Inka Staff.
The work of the modern Inka Staff and the ISS Community has emerged from the essence of these legends. The Staff and its community calls and focuses the latest, more powerful, transformational energies radiating from Father Sun toward Mother Earth. Through ceremony and loving intention these energies are grounded into the Great Staff, all Inka Staffs, Friends of ISS, and the planet herself. Each blessed earthly spot that the Staffs and the loving intentions of the Friends of the Staff penetrate becomes an energetic beacon of expanded consciousness and new possibilities for the Pacha Mama, humanity, and all our planetary relations. Each person who touches and is touched by the Staff embodies and radiates the transformational energies of the 5th Sun.
